Exploring Saudi Arabia: My Journey to the Kingdom Tower and Edge of the World

Traveling to Saudi Arabia was a transformative experience. This fascinating country, with its unique blend of modernity and ancient wonders, took me on a journey of architectural marvels and breathtaking landscapes. During my trip, I visited two iconic locations: the stunning Kingdom Tower in Riyadh and the awe-inspiring Edge of the World. Here’s a glimpse of my unforgettable adventure.

The Edge of the World: Nature at its Finest

Leaving behind the bustling streets of Riyadh, I set out for a completely different experience: the Edge of the World. The drive out of the city took me into the vast, barren landscapes of Saudi Arabia’s desert, leading to a geological wonder that truly lives up to its name. The Edge of the World is part of the Tuwaiq Escarpment, a cliff that extends for hundreds of kilometers, offering sweeping views of the seemingly endless desert below.

Standing at the top of the cliff, with the wind sweeping across the landscape, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe. The towering cliffs overlook a horizon that stretches as far as the eye can see, and at sunset, the desert is bathed in golden light, creating an ethereal atmosphere. It’s hard to describe the serenity and grandeur of the place—it truly felt like I was standing at the edge of the Earth.

The Edge of the World is not just a sightseeing spot; it’s an experience that connects you to the raw beauty of nature. I spent hours walking along the edge, taking in the vastness of the landscape, and capturing the beauty of the desert from different vantage points.

The Kingdom Tower, standing tall and majestic in the heart of Riyadh, is more than just a building—it’s a symbol of modern Saudi Arabia. As I approached this architectural masterpiece, the city lights illuminated the sleek structure, casting a futuristic glow against the night sky. The tower is an impressive 99 stories high, and its distinctive design, with a sky bridge at the top, offers panoramic views of the sprawling city below.

One of the most surreal moments of my trip was standing beneath the Kingdom Tower, looking up at its immense height. With its vibrant purple lighting at night, the tower almost seemed to touch the sky. This marvel of engineering serves as both a commercial and residential hub, housing some of the finest offices, a luxury hotel, and a shopping mall.
